I was tasked with creating an illustration inspired by Takashi Murakami for a Foundations Art Class.
When creating the artist diagram, I wanted to utilize the characteristics of the Superflat
style and create a diagram that shows pops of color, bold lines, intricate shapes, patterns,
a textured background, etc. In order to do that, I used multiple mediums, such as charcoal,
watercolor, ink, color pencil, and digital work to create these different layers of pattern and
texture. The bunnies in my piece are inspired by Murakami's characters that he uses in his
art. Murakami seems to let his imagination flow and create these fantastical scenes, so I tried
to create this piece with that state of mind.
